Union Pacific breaks ground on Iowa rail port

Union Pacific has broken ground on a $10.8 million rail port in Clinton, Iowa. Known as the Lincolnway Rail Port, it is expected to support the burgeoning wind-power industry, as companies that make blades and turbines take advantage of the port's access to the Mississippi River, UP's main line and three other railroads. The project won about $2 million in economic-stimulus funds.
