Technology startups may be cheaper to get going than other types of businesses, but that doesn't mean the process is any easier overall, writes Omar el Akkad. Many Web-based businesses fail, and the some of the most successful did so a few times before they saw business take off. There are sources of capital from angels and other investors, but many small startups are funded by their founders who, at some point, may have to quit their day jobs and dedicate themselves to building the business.
