Experts work on new device to prevent hypoglycemia

Researchers at Swansea University in the U.K. are developing a new noninvasive and pain-free blood glucose monitor that sends text alerts to care providers when a patient is at risk of a hypoglycemic attack. The device makes use of micro-needles to measure blood glucose levels and transmits the readings to the clinicians in charge of the patient.
