Mosquitoes with West Nile are found at Palm Springs zoo

Officials in Palm Springs, Calif., have detected the West Nile virus in mosquitoes found in several locations including the local zoo, The Living Desert. The zoo routinely vaccinates its most susceptible animals, including birds, zebras and endangered species, and none of the facility's animals has ever tested positive for the disease, said lead veterinarian Kevin Leiske.
