ACCCE: EPA needs to offer "realistic path" on coal regulations

The Environmental Protection Agency's proposed emissions rules on coal-fired plants that will be issued on Sept. 21 should provide a "realistic path" towards the construction of new ones, writes Mike Duncan, American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity president and CEO. "EPA's re-drafted standards for new coal plants will be an early indication whether the agency plans to double down on more bad regulations or takes a very different path," Duncan notes. "We hope the EPA does the right thing, and recognizes the true economic consequences of its regulations."
