Snack companies strive to appeal to Hispanic consumers

Bakery and snack companies are eager to capture the fast-growing Hispanic market, which saw its U.S. population increase 43% between 2000 and 2010. Understanding the culture and eating trends are essential, said Darren Seifer, food and beverage industry analyst for NPD Group, which completed a year-long study of U.S. Hispanic eating behaviors.
