Summer tour of Turkey to aid Vt. teachers' lessons

Four teachers from Vermont traveled to Turkey to learn about the history, culture and school system. During the two-week visit, sponsored by the Turkish Cultural Foundation and the World Affairs Council of America, the teachers met with students and teachers and toured villages and cities. "I teach 20th Century World History and Women's World History," said Terry Buehner, a veteran teacher at Burlington High School. "Both of these classes will be enriched with what I saw and learned on the trip," Buehner said.
