Upscale retailers feel the pinch of global uncertainty

Luxury retailers were quicker than others to recover from the recession, but now many are feeling the pinch of the latest round of international economic uncertainty. Upscale retailers including Saks, Coach and Ralph Lauren reported less-than-stellar quarterly results this month, and Nordstrom reduced its outlook for the year amid softening sales.
