California governor signs "kill-switch" measure into law

California Gov. Jerry Brown signed a mandate into law on Monday that new phones must contain a "kill-switch" feature that allows owners to wipe all their data or lock phones remotely if they are lost or stolen. Speculation is that operational efficiencies may lead phone makers to include the feature on all their devices.
