Facebook takes aim at "click-bait" with news feed changes

Facebook is hoping to reduce the number of "click-bait" articles in users' feeds, after hearing from users who said they prefer headlines that don't purposefully withhold key information. The social network will measure how long users spend with content before returning to Facebook to determine whether the content was valuable. "If [users] click through to a link and then come straight back to Facebook, it suggests that they didn't find something that they wanted," Facebook said in its announcement about the change.
