Labor market is becoming less fluid, economists argue

Workers have become less willing to change jobs in the past several decades, according to a paper presented at a symposium hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. States with a higher percentage of young workers appear to have more fluid job markets across all age groups, the paper notes.
