Texas to complete $500M first phase of aquifer project by 2015

Lake Conroe in Texas is being converted into a drinking-water source as part of a four-phase project that will be implemented over four decades. The first phase, worth $500 million, is ahead of schedule and is slated to become operational by June 2015, according to officials in Montgomery County, Texas.
