Michigan governor calls for Oakland Schools Board resignation

Gov. Jennifer Granholm has joined critics pushing for the Oakland Schools Board of Education to resign over spending irregularities, even though some board members say they are innocent of wrongdoing and have refused to step down. The Board is being investigated by the state's attorney general for such alleged extravagances as using limousines and taking international trips subsidized by taxpayers.
