Advocates: Students with disabilities not ready for California exit exam

A class-action lawsuit in California is challenging a rule that requires students with special needs to pass the new state exit exam. The state Assembly is debating a bill that would exempt students with disabilities from taking the exit exam until 2008, but state schools chief Jack O'Connell opposes it.
