Contractors fear fallout from California diesel regulations

Contractors predict that the fallout from California's strict new off-road diesel regulations could mean that only very large and very small construction companies will be able to survive. Penalties for failure to comply with the regulations on heavy equipment can run as high as $10,000 to $40,000 per day.
