Illinois travel agents say economic downturn hits home

Travel agents in the Peoria, Ill., area say they have sold fewer summer vacations because of increased food and fuel prices and the "staycation" trend. "People just aren't traveling as much, period," said Arlene Heine-Meyer, owner of World Wide Travel. Agents also say the new fees airlines are charging along with rising air fares aren't helping either.
