Newegg reverses stance, will not charge New York sales tax

Online retailer Newegg started charging sales tax to its New York customers in June to comply with a new law, but it has now reversed the policy and is leaving payment of the tax up to its customers. Amazon.com and Overstock have both taken legal action against New York because of the new law, though Amazon has since decided to collect the tax.
