Capital markets might be warming up to commercial property

The gradual return of enthusiasm for securitization combined with the new vitality of the capital markets raise the possibility of bringing new liquidity into commercial real estate, Cushman & Wakefield Sonnenblick-Goldman's most recent capital markets report said. "We're seeing some of the basic ingredients for some return of the securitization market starting to appear," said Doug Hercher, the firm's executive vice president. "It has really been a year since the last significant public commercial real estate securitization took place in the U.S."
