District to focus on improving achievement of students with disabilities

An Ohio school district is trying to improve the achievement of students with disabilities after they were among student groups who failed to meet adequate yearly progress goals. Middletown City Schools' strategy includes requiring middle- and high-school teachers to develop new curriculum plans and asking them to take responsibility for student performance.
