N.J. doctor files patent suit over heart stents

Bruce Saffran, a New Jersey doctor, filed a lawsuit against Abbott Laboratories, claiming some of the company's products infringed on his patent for cardiac stents. Abbott believes that Saffran's patent is invalid, and will defend itself against the claims, a company spokeswoman said.
