Scientists develop "electronic nose" for kidney disease detection

Israeli scientists have developed an "electronic nose" that could detect chronic renal failure at an early stage by sniffing out volatile organic compounds in exhaled breath samples. They plan to test the ability of the technology to identify types and stages of kidney disease.
