Southwest, Continental CEOs say no plan to follow United

CEOs of both Continental and Southwest said the airlines are not planning to shift credit card fees onto consumers, travel agents or other distributors. The airline leaders' comments came in response to a question regarding United Airlines' new policy. "If something is used by more than 20% of our customers, we want that in the base fare," said Continental CEO Larry Kellner.
