Investors worldwide are waiting for Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke to indicate during a speech in Jackson Hole, Wyo., what the central bank plans to do if the economy weakens further. Economists said the Fed is far from being out of options to bolster the recovery, and some said they hope Bernanke will clarify what direction the central bank plans to take. This year's annual conference, sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, comes after the release of a wave of disappointing economic data.
