RIM hopes to talk itself out of the Indian muddle

Research in Motion has sought to assuage the Indian government and avert a ban on some of its services by proposing a forum that would address the issues of balancing the country's purported security needs with RIM's privacy concerns. The BlackBerry-maker's shares fell almost 2% Thursday to their lowest level since April 2009.
