E-readers make big inroads among women and older users

Although tablets and smartphones are continuing their steady growth among female users, e-readers are making a bigger gain, with women accounting for 61% of owners, according to Nielsen. Older people also are fond of e-readers, with those 55 and older making up 30% of owners.
