United CEO raises concerns about government's aviation policy

Jeff Smisek, president and CEO of United Continental Holdings, says the largest problem the airline industry faces is the government's failure to develop a coherent aviation policy. At an industry convention, Smisek also raised concerns about global distribution systems, pointing out their resistance to direct-connect technology. The systems "have to keep up with our changes in technology," Smisek said.
