U.S. Navy undersecretary aims to reduce expenses

U.S. Navy Undersecretary Robert Work is looking into ways to reduce costs before submission of the 2013 budget. Work has asked the Navy and the Marine Corps to examine whether less-expensive alternatives to the service's tactical aviation plan are available. "This relook must consider every plan and program. Even cuts to long-planned buys of JSF must be on the table," Work wrote in a memo.
