Apps to help middle-school students master math skills

This blog post features five math applications aimed at middle-school students, including a game that features a little Mayan history and a program specifically aligned with the Common Core State Standards. Among others, the apps include MayaNumbers, a free app that challenges students to a base-20 number system; Middle School Math Pro, which has questions specifically designed for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade levels; and Buzz Math, which offers a free version for students and a premium version of the app for teachers.
