At least five tanks that contain partially treated radioactive water have leaked at the Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear plant in Japan. Experts believe most of the leaked liquid has entered the ground, although some may also have gone into the ocean. About 80,000 gallons have leaked from one tank alone, according to Tokyo Electric Power, which operates the plant. Toshimitsu Motegi, the Japanese Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry, said "lax maintenance" by Tokyo Electric was to be blamed for the leaks.
