Researchers harness PET/MRI for brain imaging

Researchers from the University of Tübingen's Werner Siemens Imaging Center have designed a PET insert that will allow them to examine the brain's functional processes in detail with simultaneous MRI and PET scans. The combined methods enabled researchers to look at the relationship between glucose metabolism and oxygenation while collecting data about connectivity in the brain.
