Teachers at Ore. middle school prepare for one-to-one iPad launch

Teachers at Neil Armstrong Middle School in Forest Grove, Ore., are developing classroom-management rules and learning how to use the preloaded applications as the school prepares to roll out a program where each seventh- and eighth-grader gets an iPad. For instance, social studies teacher Nicole Langton said she plans to use the phrase "screens black" to tell students to put away their tablets. Students and teachers also must pass a "digital citizenry" test before they can bring the devices home.
