Tenn. district approves $5.2M to help make transition to online assessments

Officials in a Tennessee district have approved spending $5.2 million to upgrade technology needed to implement online writing exams in February and online exams being administered during the 2014-15 school year. However, officials say they still are working to determine where the money will come from. The approval for funding also includes new technology, such as iPads, to help improve teaching and learning.
