Texas A&M aims to host the largest U.S. engineering school

Texas A&M University is working to expand its engineering program to 25,000 students by 2025, making it the largest engineering school in the nation. The expansion is in line with a national trend to grow science, technology, engineering and math programs, said Kenneth Galloway, president of the board of directors for the American Society for Engineering Education. Steps to reach the university's goal include improving retention rates among undergraduates and partnering with community colleges.
