Audit Analytics: Inventory accounting poor at some big firms

There have been six disclosures by large companies this year that inventory accounting is weak, compared with 38 disclosures last year, according to Audit Analytics. Companies have much discretion in how they account for inventory, vendors and cost of sales on the balance sheet, which can lead to deficiency in controls and procedures.
