Southwest reduces winter schedule by about 200 flights

Although Southwest Airlines normally cuts the number of flights it operates after the holidays, it is making deeper cuts this year as part of its adjustment to high fuel prices. "This is more of just a tweak to the schedule. It's not going to impact our overall growth plans for 2009," said Chris Mainz, a spokesman for Southwest.
