United seeks injunction against pilots union over sick-outs

United Airlines will go to court today seeking a restraining order against its most powerful union. Following a widespread sick-out in July that wreaked havoc with peak summer travel, the airline is asking a federal judge to forbid its pilots union from encouraging alleged illegal labor activity. The Air Line Pilots Association counters that it played no role in the sick-out by junior pilots.
