Boeing starting permit process for new 787 assembly line

Boeing Co. says it is taking a "procedural step" in filing for permits for a second 787 assembly line, though the company insists it has not yet decided on a location for that plant. Boeing is widely expected to choose North Charleston, S.C., after buying a factory there from troubled supplier Vought Aircraft.
