RSNA responds to NEJM study on imaging radiation

A recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that the use of imaging scans continue to be a main source of ionizing radiation exposure in the country that could lead to high cumulative radiation doses. The Radiological Society of North America said it is crucial not to bypass one of the researchers' points, which is that "the growing use of such procedures stems from their ability to radically improve patient care."
