Spanish economy grew less in 2008 than initially reported

Revised GDP for Spain show the nation's downturn last year was sharper than originally thought. The National Statistics Institute cut its rate of 1.2% growth year-on-year to 0.9%. Economists said the government possibly did not fully appreciate the consequences of high corporate debt, about 120% of GDP.
