Dog attacks are preventable, canine behaviorists say

A 4-year-old girl in Dodge County, Wis., on Wednesday was mauled to death by a dog. Fatal dog-attack incidents are often preventable and rare, with only 15 occurrences across the U.S. per year, according to dog behaviorists. To avoid these attacks, owners are advised to take a proactive approach to dog ownership by closely monitoring their pet's behavior and being vigilant with children.
