Samsung asks judge to reverse U.S. sales ban on Galaxy Tab 10.1

Samsung Electronics did manage to eke out a legal victory in its patent trial with Apple last week: The jury cleared Samsung of copying the iPad's design elements, a verdict that contradicts U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh's decision two months ago concerning Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 in which she banned sales of the tablet in the U.S. Samsung on Sunday asked Koh to rescind her order. Separately, a report by IHS iSuppli says Samsung makes a higher profit on its Galaxy Note than Apple does on the iPad because of its lower cost of materials.
