Calif. district keeps tabs on students' social media posts

A California school district is expanding a service it tested at several high schools last year in which a private firm monitors and analyzes students' posts on social media, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. The partnership with Geo Listening is intended to provide the district daily reports about instances of cyberbullying, harm, hate, despair, substance abuse, vandalism and truancy.
