Can "iterative innovation" change China from within?

Lee Kai-Fu, Google's former China chief, has established himself as the country's foremost innovation cheerleader. Rather than striving for Steve Jobs-style innovations, he says, Chinese businesses should aim for "iterative innovation" that seeks to adapt established products and services to the unique challenges of China's heavily controlled economy. Over time, Lee argues, access to such technologies will change China from within.
