Demolition of Harmon Hotel in Las Vegas receives court approval

A judge has approved the demolition of the unfinished Harmon Hotel tower in Las Vegas, jointly owned by Dubai World and MGM Resorts International. The decision came after pieces of evidence provided by CityCenter officials indicated the tower's susceptibility to collapse during a strong earthquake due to more than 7,000 construction defects, said Chukwuma Ekwueme, CityCenter structural engineering expert.
