Drug combo curbs viral load in difficult-to-treat hepatitis C cases

Sofosbuvir plus ribavirin showed efficacy in reducing viral load in patients infected with hepatitis C who are considered unlikely to respond to treatment, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. No deaths were recorded, and no patients stopped treatment due to adverse events.
