Guest reviews help boost a hotel's image, experts say

Travelers are increasingly dependent on reviews to help them decide which hotel to book, some experts say. Data from Expedia for December 2012 show a 1.4% higher take-up for hotels with more than 50 guest reviews compared with all other hotels. "If a hotel has a small number of reviews, that hotelier may want to offer guests a small incentive for completing an online customer review," said Amy Severson, a senior director at Expedia.
