Labor Department sets rules for hiring vets, disabled

Regulations announced last week by the U.S. Labor Department require federal contractors to set goals of having veterans make up 8% of their employees and disabled people make up 7%. The rules take effect six months from now and require companies to document their efforts to meet the hiring goals. Business groups say they may challenge the rules in court.
