Motion is vital to flight simulation

Jerry Gregoire, CEO of Redbird Flight Simulations, writes that motion is vital to building flight simulators that really simulate flight, especially for helicopter training. A pilot learns to govern an aircraft with motion cues; simulators that use only visual cues are useless because by the time a pilot sees a problem, it's probably too late.
