Nintendo President Satoru Iwata forecast the company will sell more than 5 million 3DS handheld consoles in Japan during the current fiscal year, which ends in March, and 18 million 3DS units worldwide. That compares with 5.5 million units in Japan and 13.95 million units worldwide in the previous year. "There are more and more media reports suggesting that things aren't going very well for the dedicated gaming hardware business," Iwata said Tuesday. "But that's not true, at least for the 3DS in Japan."
