Report: "Education-centered medical home" teaches PCMH concepts

Northwestern University researchers said medical students in an "education-centered medical home" model designed to teach them about patient-centered medical homes increased their understanding of the concept and got valuable early clinical experience. The program, established at four physician faculty practices and reported in the Journal of General Internal Medicine, found 39 of 42 students who had not graduated wanted to continue to participate.
